Location details- Woods in Little Melton NR9 3NX
Company name- Lighthouse pictures
Distance from based location- 0.2 miles
The limitations of using an outdoor location are that the mic can be interrupted by elements of weather and the lighting is dependent on the time of day the piece is filmed. Another limitation is quality of filming in the dark as natural lighting does not always give the best quality over camera.
Risks and hazards include the fact that the weather conditions could be bad. Due to it being in a forest there could be hazards with the trees due to there being running in some sequences. There are also no public facilities nearby the nearest facilities from the set is 0.5 miles from the location, this means that this may disrupt the smooth run through of the filming of the piece. Another reason there may be a risk of filming on this land is you may be denied permission to film on this
Image of location.
Character Profiles
Belle- main character-
Belle meaning beauty, getting confused in the forest series of close up and mid shots to show that she is the main character, always having her in the middle composition of the shots. show wide shot as the establishing shot as a long shot in order to show that she is just a small girl in the wide forest, this allows the audience to immediately identify her as the main character.
I would use her costume to show that she is going to be in danger, I would do this by using a red dress, this reflects danger ahead, I would also use a white coat over the top of this as I am going to use the setting as a wood and then it show the time of year that this would've been filmed.
The character expression and movement of the character of Belle while she wondered the woods alone would be fearful, however when you see the flashbacks in the circular narrative this allows the spectator to see a contrast from her having fun, partying to then her being back in her comfort zone with her friends playing around with the Ouija board.
The props I would use for the character of Belle would be a bottle of alcohol to show that her and her friends and having a good time, whereas in the second strand of narrative she would have a stain down
her front to suggest that she had previously thrown up.
For makeup, I would have her makeup perfectly done in the first part, flawless and then contrasting in the second strand of narrative I would have her makeup running down her eyes to then show that she has had a rough night. Her hair in the second strand of narrative will be completely messy and imperfect.
Belle's friends-
All in neutral colours in order to make Belle stand out, this emphasises how the audience should pay attention to her over everyone else. The reasons for there being three of them makes it seem as though they're crowding around the Ouija board.
Emily
Costume will be plain black dress, this is lowkey and does not draw direct attention to her however each of Belles friends will have one item of clothing that is red, for Emily this will be a watch, this is something that cannot easily be noticed however is foreshadowing that something negative is going to happen.
Hair and makeup, their hair and makeup needs to be perfectly done, it needs to have no imperfections in order to show that the sequence that is a flashback is when everything is okay then, this emphasises the fact that something has happened the night before to get Belle in the state she is in, in the aftermath.
Character expression and movement used in this part of the scene needs to be minimal, the shot sizes and cinematography need to cast the image that something after playing the Ouija board causes Belle to wake up in this state in the first scene.
Harry
Costume of Harry will be a plain neutral colour shirt, possibly white in order to suggest purity and then plain black trousers and black shoes these colours are very mundane and are not bright to suggest Harry is of any importance.
The hair used for Harry will be a 'normal' hairstyle this enables the audience to see that he is not 'special' in terms of importance during the opening scene.
The character expression and movement for Harry needs to seem slightly suspicious to suggest to the audience that he is not as innocent as he may seem.

Script
Birds tweet as we see a longshot of Belle in the woods, Belle in the centre of the composition showing that she is important allowing the audience to begin to ask questions about why she is there.
Rubs head with hand, Squints into the distance looking at the camera from far away, wide shot to show the setting. Shots shifting to different trees to show that the forest is 'watching' Eyes open, shock sets into her, begins looking around, then begins to reach for her phone. Suspense in the music increases.
cuts to the night before, first time we are introduced to her friends, all partying around, the shots from behind different trees to suggest they are being watched. Short shot, then straight back to her trying to get up and walk around the forest again short shots to show the idea of her being followed.
Flashback to the night before showing Emily and Harry running away without Belle. Back to Belle trying to walk around the forest looking for where she needs to go, this is where we then see them all together again, suspense in the music rises as Harry and Emily 'jokingly' push Belle around in hysterical laughter. Shot showing Belle again, she looks down at the dirt covering her legs. Her red dress turned slightly crimson due to the mud covering it.
non-diegetic music begins as she wanders the paths of the woods. This music will allow the tension to build. All music stops. Flashback to the night before where Belle is by the Ouija board with her friends, suspenseful music plays as a serious of short shots from different angles of the woods enclose on her.
Emily - Its all a load of rubbish how can a stupid bit of wood allow contact with people who are already dead.
Harry- Belle you are such a liar this isn't going to work, I don't believe ant videos you've shown us.
Belle- Okay. We will see, I hope you are right, I don't want it to be true.
Harry- How do we even play this stupid thing.
Emily- Its not playing if we really get to see dead people.
Cuts back to Belle walking around, then get introduced to all of the different elements of the woods, .leaves etc.
Close up of the Ouija board at a birds eye angle.
Harry- It's time.
Belle- Take these two fingers and place them over here.
We then see them all play with the Ouija board. The end shot will be of Harry taking his hand off before saying goodbye on the Ouija board.
Harry- What a load of bollocks.
Cuts back to Belle.
Belle- HELLO! sits down on floor and begins to cry.
Voice 1- sinister voice used. Belle
Belle gets up. Begins to sprint. Trips over a log.
Belle- Shit!
Non-diegetic calm music begins after she is knocked out on the floor.

Shooting diary
I would shoot my coursework between October and November, this means that the leaves will be amber creating a sinister feel to the opening scene.
Synopsis
The film starts near the end of the actual film, the rest of the film would then be the planning of the night you see at the beginning of the film and the explanation of why they are there and what is so special and the reason that Belles friends took her there. This allows the audience to know where the story is headed from the beginning.
One girl. One woods. What will happen? Will she come out alive? Will her friends make it?
